Coronavirus

Following the directions from the National Church and this Diocese, the following will be adopted across the Plurality.

Prayer resources for those, who for any reason are unable to get to church, can be found on a separate page under Prayer resources.

Hand sanitiser units are in the porch of both churches.

If you feel unwell, have a temperature, cough or flu like symptoms please stay at home.

For service times please see 'Times of Services' web page.

Holy Cross Church

  1. The permission for the congregation to sing during services at Holy Cross, will take place from 5th SEPTEMBER 2021.  It was recommended that ‘restraint’ be upheld when singing.  Those not wishing to sing would sit at the back of the church.

  2. Communion would carry on as normally being held at the present time, with communion of one kind being brought to the seat of the congregation. It was decided to continue with this trend due to the rise in Covid cases on the Island. Both churches agreed with this.

  3. On the fourth Sunday of the month there would be a service of Morning Worship at 9.30 am as well as the 8 am Holy Communion service at Holy Cross.

St Peter’s Havenstreet

  1. It was decided that singing would not take place at St Peter’s due to lack of space in the church. People with masks would sit on one side of the church. The choir would sing from the balcony.

  2. The taking of communion will carry on as now with the congregation remaining in their seated area.

Some services will continue to be streamed on the Holy Cross and St Peter's Facebook page and especially those for special occasions.
